This Way Highlanders Come by Landra Graf

I didn’t expect to release a Highlander book this year, or ever, for that matter. Except I did and now I feel the need to write more. My editor wants another book, my reading pals want another one, my critique partner even chimed in. Within days I fell down a plot bunny hole. If you’ve ever watched Alice in Wonderland a plot bunny hole is like a rabbit hole to another universe, one in which a plot to a story is hiding. I’ll caution you dear reader that these holes are dangerous and scary. Nevertheless, I fell and emerged with something I believe will do quite nicely.

So here’s something I’ll share that few other eyes have seen. A brief blurb for my next Highlander book, titled Have Kilt, Will Unravel. Tentative release for this one will be May 2015.

Robbing the rich…

Jack Blackburn is the quintessential gentleman thief, he only robs from those who can afford it. So when the Viscount Aberdeen organizes a country house party in the hopes of marrying off his daughters, Jack can’t resist the opportunity to fleece the young pups vying to attend. Nor keep his friend, William Cochrane, who despises nobility and blames them for his wife’s death, from getting involved.

To give to the poor…

Sorcha and Robena McCabe, daughters to the viscount, desire their freedom to decide their future, but their frivolous father has other plans. With a large dowry and a country party designed to entice all manner of suitors, the on-the-shelf twins decide to masquerade as highwaymen in an effort to scare off suitors and use the fruits of their labor to give back to the crofters suffering from their father’s ridiculous attempts to impress his peers. Too bad there is competition for the bounty and the girls can’t afford for their secret to be revealed. Nor can they ever completely make up for the mistakes of their past.

Book Blurb:

They’re not your traditional highlanders.

Rafe Gordon, Laird of Nairn, is searching for release from the nightmare of his wife’s passing. When Elsie, his daughter’s new governess, brings with her the temptation of passion and a less-than-perfect-past, Rafe must decide if love truly can conquer all.

Innes Gordon is looking for a good time. When that good time turns out to be the childhood-friend-turned-kept-woman Catriona, he finds himself torn between claiming her ‘til death do us part’ or simply sharing her with his twin.

Hamish Gordon is seeking a woman all his own. While his family’s home is invaded with nuptial ceremonies, Hamish is sent to patrol his older brother’s hunting grounds in search of a thief. Discovering his prey yields the biggest surprise — and Athdara needs his help as much as he needs hers.

  1. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today, Landra!

  2. I bumped into your blog while browsing my blog reader. I haven’t read any of your work, but love historical romance and Highlanders are top on my list. This month I’m featuring Diana Cosby on my blog, Booktalk with Eileen and have adored her books. I’m always interested in reading new authors, so would love to read one of your own. I haven’t read either of the giveaway books, but I’m familiar with the authors. Much success to you, Landra.

  3. Two of my favorite books as well. There are lots of things I love about a Highlander, his fierceness, accent, loyalty, sense of family!
Thanks for the post and the contest. lisagk(at)yahoo
