Keep it Classy by Leigh Ellwood

Hello! I’m pleased to be here today to announce my second story with Decadent Publishing is under contract. A CLASS ACT will follow A DIFFERENT CLASS as my next 1Night Stand short, under the sub-series Class in Session. While ACT is technically part of a series, you can read it as a standalone. Of course, you’re welcome to pick up A DIFFERENT CLASS if you enjoy M/M erotic romance. J

While we’re waiting for the release of ACT, I’m preparing to start the third story for submission. Since it’s part of the series, I’ll naturally use “Class” in the title. Now comes the fun part: figuring out which title to use next. I have a few ideas with storylines attached to them. Currently, it’s between TOUCH OF CLASS and CLASS CLOWN, but I’ll keep the plots under wraps until I have news from the publisher.

For now, though, I can reveal the next Class story will feature something you’ll see in A DIFFERENT CLASS: Sigmund Brewing. This company is founded and owned by Rod Maloney, named in memory of a dear friend. A few characters in the story enjoy the craft beers, some of which contain ingredients you might not expect. To build on their presence in the series, I’m happy to share the available varieties:

Sigmund’s Gone Pale – a traditional pale ale for those who prefer a lighter taste.

Sigmund Shock – a chocolate and coffee stout, not for weak taste buds!

Strawberry Sig – a seasonal offering with a fruity flavor.

Sigmund Loves Rosemary – a popular ale with a bold, herb flavor.

For my next story I’ll be coming up with more varieties for my characters to savor. I look forward to researching craft beers, and I’ll definitely enjoy them in moderation! I’ll also need to come up with some clever names (yeah, more than what I have here), so I’m happy to entertain ideas.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll pick up A DIFFERENT CLASS and keep an eye out for the release of A CLASS ACT, and future “classy” M/M stories.

Book Blurb:

FDR High Class of 2004 graduate, Glenn Carson contacts fellow alumni to get a list of who will be attending the upcoming festivities. One call to a disgruntled former student leaves him shaken—apparently, not everyone is looking forward to the reunion. Hoping to ease his frustration, he contacts the 1Night Stand service for a relaxing and passionate encounter.

Known as “Mumbles” to former classmates, Rod Maloney would prefer to focus on the present and his successful business. However, past tragedies continue to haunt him, so he requests Madame Eve find him a man to show him a hot time and help him forget his troubles.

Will their one night together lead to a reunion after all?

  1. Hmmm…. Beer with Rosemary? I’ve never heard of that before, but I’d imagine it’d be something like what is sold during winter/Christmas with the “pine” flavor in beers. Quite frankly? Never been “big” on the whole flavored beer thing. You could always have “Sig Shandy” (lemon)… Apparently seaweed is becoming a new “thing” in craft beers and then you’ve got brewers throwing in things like oysters… and even Rocky Mountain oysters (aka bull balls) to make craft beer. (Ewwww!!!) I’m pretty traditional when drinking beer – nothing too unusual – but one that I do like if I’m looking for something different is Kentucky Bourbon Ale ( ). It’s a darker beer, but not really a stout, that is aged in bourbon barrels & pick up that flavor. YUMMMM!!!! Just remember to stay classy while trying out all these new craft beers – lift that pinky! [wink] Snarky Mom Michelle from

  2. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today, Leigh!

  3. Leigh, I love craft brews. I’ve recently started to explore that world and I’m finding a lot of love with Octoberfest blends. Abita has a lot of craft beers with different fruits. You may check some of those out.

Definitely love the spin to the stories and the fact you’re coming out with more. 😉

  4. I’m not a beer, even craft beer, person, but the naming that all manner of alcohol gets is a lot of fun. As for your Sigmund Brewing brand, maybe “Sigmund Shadenfreude”? Note, I said I enjoyed the naming, not that I was good at it. 😀

Thanks for sharing your little behind-the-scenes look, Leigh!
