Imperfection by Iyana Jenna

Hi Literary Lagniappe, thank you so much for having me today. I’d like to share with you all something some people are not easy to talk about, weaknesses or imperfections. I’m not saying that I’m better than others, or stronger, that I can talk about my flaws. What I’m going to talk about has helped me with my writing. I, in fact, feel grateful for them so I’m glad to talk about my weaknesses.

I have to say that I’m not really articulate. I’m rather shy; perhaps that’s why sometimes it’s not too easy for me to express what I have in my mind. Sometimes I have so many things inside my head I feel confused what I should say first.

In the past, when my BFF was still at the same office as me, he was the one who usually acted as my ‘interpreter.’ I would say something in a meeting and when it seemed that people didn’t get what I was saying, he would cut in and explain exactly what I meant. It was quite embarrassing for me, really. I was glad they didn’t just let me go. But what sometimes puzzled me was the fact that he totally got me, like he’d been in my head or something. It was no wonder he was my BFF after all.

I realized I couldn’t go on like that, especially when my BFF left the office. I lost the only person who could understand me. I had to do on my own. Here my writing came into effect. Writing helped me organize and express my mind more clearly. I had begun writing for a while but I just got to realize its effect in helping me with my speech ability.

I still have the problem but it’s not too bad. People understand me more now. 🙂

Book Blurb:Apparition 200x300

Separated by more than 600 miles, Zach and Drew were forced to keep in touch through phone, email, and Skype. However, as Drew showered for one of their “dates”, he wasn’t alone. Then he found out that Zach’s car crashed, leaving him in a coma. Who then came to Drew when he showered? Would he have a chance to be with Zach again?

“Zach…” He closed his eyes, snaked his arms up, and wrapped them around Zach’s neck. Zach nuzzled into Drew’s armpit, kissed his nipple, and bit it lightly, eliciting a deep growl from Drew’s throat.

“Christ, you’re so hot. I want you so much.” Zach’s hand slithered down and took Drew’s length and slowly stroked it up and down. Drew threw his head back to rest on Zach’s shoulder, moaning and gasping as the orgasm built in his cock. His hands ran through Zach’s hair, grasping it, taking Zach’s face down to his own, seeking out Zach’s lips and kissing them.

“I want you too,” Drew said, breathing into Zach’s mouth. “I want you inside me. Please.” He took Zach’s hands, sniffing, licking them, tasting himself there, and he got harder. Zach kissed him more intensely, their tongues dueling inside as if wanting to melt them into one. Zach pressed his hard-on against Drew, who mewled wantonly and began to rub himself shamelessly. “Yes, oh yes. Like that, Zach.”

To Drew’s dismay, though, Zach seemed to fade until what was holding Drew was merely a wet trail of shadows. A whisper breathed in Drew’s ear, “Later.” Zach was gone.

Author Bio:

Iyana lives in Jakarta, a city famous for its traffic jams, a lot of cars and motorcycles, and people selling stuff on the roads. You can spend two hours on the road going to a place you can reach in half an hour in a normal situation. Thanks to the traffic jams, though, Iyana can come up with a lot of stories, mostly shorties, as she prefers to spend the time during her trips writing into her cell phone rather than sleeping.

Another thing Iyana loves is kitties. Right now she has five of them. Their names are Larva, Nyil, Cil, Betsy, and Horus. When she doesn’t write, she plays with them, or they would play with her when she writes.

  1. Wow that is one hot interaction between Zach & Drew!!!! It sounds like I need to read this one for sure! Sorry you have such a hard time with speaking- I’m the opposite. Sometimes I don’t know when to shut up or turn my filter on! That’s not a good thing usually!

  2. Thanks so much for hanging out with us today, Iyana!

  3. I would like to use a better word but WOW really does say it all. That excerpt is captivating and I will definitely be reading your book. I understand your shyness. I am usually uncomfortable around people I don’t know so I don’t speak much. It has taken me a while to realize that by just sitting and observing it takes longer for people to get to know me so I have learned to speak a little more.

    • That’s a good point you made there about speaking more. I feel exactly the same, totally uncomfortable around new people. Btw, thank you! It’s such a little story.

  4. The book sounds really good please count me in for the Giveaway……………..thank you

  6. ((( Cathy )))

    Thank you. 🙂 And shy-ers united! 😀

  7. Looks great. I would love to read it.

  8. Thanks for the chance to win, Iyana and LL. It sounds like this one has some great emotion to it.

I’m not shy to speak in public, but I am careful. I worry about what I say being understood, getting my point across properly. I think that’s why writing things out is so nice because you can really look at what you say and find the places where you might not be explaining things as well as you’d hoped.
