How to Turn On a Pirate by Decadent Kane

When I started writing Steele Your Soul, I had no idea what might get my leading pirate captain-Joren Steele- to focus his attention on my leading elfess. Joeren’s a bit of a ladies elf, and he very much prefers it that way.

It didn’t help that my leading lady had some competition for the pirate’s affections in the form of a boat bunny named Kida. Kida’s the kind of elfess who serves many, is gorgeous, and knows all Joren’s little hot spots. Imagine her surprise when pepper walked in…

Here’s what I learned about turning on a pirate:

1)     She must be hard to get.

2)     If it ain’t long hair it ain’t right (according to Joren)

3)     She has to stand up for herself with anyone who opposes her, even her female competition.

I realized right away Joren wanted someone who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. I think out of everything, Pepper’s ability to reject him is what really shivered his timbers. Even if he didn’t admit it.

If you had to turn on a pirate what would be your go to move?

Book Blurb:

When Pepper set out for the day, the last thing she expected was to come face to face with a pirate. But when she locks eyes with the Captain, she’s ready to let him pillage or plunder whatever he wants. At least until his drow shipmate decided to steal her for himself.

Captain Joren Steele has a love for his ship, money, and females, usually in that order. When Pepper steps into his life, he’s certain his love ’em and leave ’em status will remain intact. But when he discovers she’s a victim of the drow, he has to make a choice: his ship or the elfess.

Author Bio:

An elfess in human form, Decadent enjoys dipping her fingers into the human realm where she took pen to paper and began the tales of the trouble with elves. Her obsessions include reading, Dean Winchester, and honey.

She will devour your soul with glimpses of the feral ridden drow elves, with their dark skin and soul consuming. She’ll sneak morsels of naughty thoughts to you via goblins, and seduce you into stepping inside the elven realm where females disappear when lust takes over among other elfish troubles.

Beware the sprites.

Follow the wisps.

But never look a drow elf king in the eyes…
