I really never thought I was going to write this book.
No really. I mean, I’m the kind of writer who thinks in series. I see a group of friends and how one falls in love and it’s a domino effect. Or how a group of sexy heroes end up in a weird situation, one rescues a woman, they fall in love and it changes the life path of everyone they touch.
I never thought I would write a story about Bianca and Clay.
Unless you’ve read Bound with Pearls, my December Taboo line release, you probably have no idea who I’m talking about, so let me introduce you to this kinky couple by sharing how they first came to be.
I wrote Bound with Pearls as an experiment. I didn’t know if I could write kinky. I liked kinky. I dug kinky. But I didn’t know if it was something I could write. Part of my pre-writing process is figuring out the social spider web of my main characters. Everyone has a “best friend” that they call on to gush or whine about their love interest.
I knew the hero from Bound with Pearls was a family oriented guy, so for me it made sense to give him a married couple as his closest confidants. But I didn’t want to do another male Dominant couple. I was already writing that dynamic. I wanted to write something different!
So I switched it up a little and made Bianca, the petite five foot wife, the Dominant and her alpha type husband a submissive. Yes, there is such a thing as an alpha personality in a submissive role. I loved getting to write the way they interacted. Bianca was sassy and more than a little bossy if given an inch and Clay humored her both because he loves and respects her.
Still, I wasn’t going to write them. When Ellora’s Cave announced the Ball & Chain call, I was going to write about another married couple rediscovering their passion… But the words fell flat on the page. I was editing Bound with Pearls for the last time when I realized… I wanted to write Bianca and Clay. I wanted to tell their story. I wanted to share their unique dynamic with people.
Female Dominant books aren’t the most popular, but it’s a unique woman who can wear those shoes. Who can be commanding, strong and compassionate. Who can both lead and follow with confidence and grace. I think writing Bianca might have been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it was worth it for the laughs and heartbreaks this couple shared with me, and soon – you.

It can never be said that Sidney Bristol has had a ‘normal’ life. She is a recovering roller derby queen, former missionary, and tattoo addict. She grew up in a motor-home on the US highways (with an occasional jaunt into Canada and Mexico), traveling the rodeo circuit with her parents. Sidney has lived abroad in both Russia and Thailand, working with children and teenagers. She now lives in Texas where she splits her time between a job she loves, writing, reading and belly dancing.
Collar Me in Paris coming February 13th from Ellora’s Cave
What begins as Clay’s first family vacation with his new wife quickly dives into disaster. He may be the submissive in their relationship, but he’s no shy violet. Bianca has taught him the quickest way to turn her on is a challenge, so he’s throwing down the gauntlet.
Bianca butts heads with not just her brothers but her husband when the family torturing begins. But the joke is on him. She’s ready to put him through the most erotic misery of all. In public, at a night club and all over the city, she’ll show him who is Dominant in their relationship until he’s screaming for more.
Their relaxing Paris vacation turns into a mad dash through the ancient streets, a competition of wills and a new exploration of what it takes to make their relationship work. From bondage, discipline and very public orgasms to navigating the Métro, family feuds and overcoming the language barrier, they’re going to redefine the word
