Cassius Cupid – Background/Profile by Lucy Felthouse

Cassius Cupid – Background/Profile

Name: Cassius Cupid

Age: 32 in human years, 250 in shifter years

Height: 5ft11in

Eyes: Green

Hair: Dark brown, curly, shoulder length

Any other features: Pierced tragus, wears glasses, has a beard and tattoos

Lives: England, United Kingdom

Job: Postman/one of Santa’s reindeer

Education: Too much to list. In his 250 years, Cassius has moved all over the United Kingdom, gone to various schools, colleges and universities under many different names. When his physical appearance became mature, he enrolled in various adult classes and has continued to learn new things off his own back. He speaks several languages, knows British Sign Language, first aid, and much more.

Family: An only child—his reindeer shifter parents, Aggie and Cine, have retired to Lapland so they can be around Santa all year round.

Hobbies: Watching TV and films, reading, hiking, rock climbing and learning new things.

Personal: Aside from his family and education, things have not been great for Cassius. His work and home life are fine, but his love life has been quite a rocky road. He’s never been attracted to any of the female shifters that are also part of Santa’s elite, and he hasn’t met any other kinds of shifters before. As a result, his attachments have always been to humans, and have never worked out—the reason being that he can never be around on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and can’t explain where he’s going. Not without being accused of insanity, anyway. He’s not lonely as such, but he does long for a relationship—especially one that can last beyond a single Christmas.

As a postman by day, and one of Santa’s reindeer on a single very special night, Cassius Cupid eats, sleeps, and breathes deliveries. He doesn’t mind, but sometimes wishes that someone would send him something more exciting than bills and junk mail.

One cold January morning, Cassius gets his wish. A young woman arrives with a parcel. Turns out it’s for his housemate – but Cassius doesn’t care. All he’s interested in is Carina – the beautiful female courier.

Has Cupid finally met his match?
